Our roots and evolving mission

PRIDE(R) was founded by Executive Director Peer Saheb Y. to drive grassroots development. Backed by his deep experience with MYRADA / Plan International (H.D. Kote) and World Bank-assisted water and sanitation initiatives, he launched PRIDE(R) to work directly with community members. While we began with water awareness, our mission has since evolved into a comprehensive framework. Today, we prioritize vital health initiatives alongside sustainable women and child development for rural and urban areas. We view our work as an ongoing process, working consistently for the public to create lasting socio-economic change.

Making a difference through core programs

PRIDE(R) drives impactful rural development through four core programs: 1) Pride Mahila Santwana Kendra, a dedicated helpline providing protection and counseling for women. 2) Creche Centers offering safe childcare to support working mothers. 3) 3 to 5-day skill-oriented training programs on Solid Waste Management for Sanjeevini women self-help groups across all Gram Panchayats in Ramanagara, Channapatna, Kanakapura, Magadi, and Harohalli taluks. 4) Grassroots awareness generation campaigns focused on renewable energy, rainwater harvesting, and eco-friendly waste management.

Stories of transformation and empowerment

PRIDE(R) transforms communities through a powerful blend of social protection and economic empowerment. Our counseling initiatives protect women and children by resolving domestic disputes, preventing early child marriages, and guiding women on their legal rights. Beyond social welfare, we actively create jobs for rural youth and women. By providing hands-on, skill-oriented training, we empower community members to launch their own small enterprises and establish self-reliant rural groups, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and a happy, dignified future for all.

Our commitment to transparency and impact

PRIDE(R) is built on a foundation of absolute transparency, accountability, and complete inclusivity. Our grassroots programs are strictly result-oriented, serving vulnerable communities entirely irrespective of caste, creed, or background. By consistently tracking our milestones and scaling our impact year after year, we ensure steady, measurable progress that public partners, institutional donors, and local communities can deeply trust.
